What is Ciprofloxacin?

Ciproflaxacin is a fluoroquinolone and a broad-spectrum activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. The mode of action of ciprofloxacin involves the inhibition DNA gyrase and subsequent inhibition of replication by tight DNA binding. Pathogens resistant to multiple antibiotics have been found to be susceptible to Ciproflaxacin.
